Key Commissioner Resigns from National Inquiry for MMIW

Marilyn Poitras, one of a five-member commission, has resigned from her position on the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigneous Women and Girls due to issues with the structure of the inquiry. She joins four other staff members who have left since June. In spite of these resignations, the national inquiry will continue.
